Stainless Steel Socket Head Cap Screw (DIN 912)
Size: M3 – M16
SS Screw
SS screw, or stainless steel screw, is a corrosion-resistant fastener designed for applications where moisture, chemicals or hygiene requirements make carbon steel unsuitable. Stainless steel screws provide rust and oxidation resistance in environments where standard steel fasteners would degrade.
SS screws are commonly used in water purification equipment, LED lighting, food processing machinery, pharmaceutical equipment and solar installations. The choice of stainless steel grade (SS 202, SS 304 or SS 316) determines the level of corrosion resistance suitable for specific operating environments.

Stainless steel screws resist rust and oxidation in moisture-exposed applications where carbon steel would degrade. This makes them suitable for outdoor installations, water treatment, food processing and chemical environments.
Stainless steel screws are used in food processing, pharmaceutical and medical equipment where hygiene standards require corrosion-resistant, easy-to-clean fasteners that do not contaminate the processing environment.
Stainless steel maintains mechanical properties across a wider temperature range compared to carbon steel, making it suitable for applications with temperature variations or elevated operating temperatures.
SS screws maintain their appearance in visible installations without rust staining or surface degradation. This is important for architectural applications, LED fixtures and consumer-facing equipment.
The most commonly specified grade for general industrial use. Provides good corrosion resistance in many non-chloride environments. Suitable for indoor applications, moderate outdoor exposure and general machinery assembly.
Contains molybdenum for enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments. Preferred for coastal installations, marine-adjacent applications, water treatment and chemical exposure.
A lower-nickel, higher-manganese austenitic grade suitable for cost-sensitive applications with less aggressive environmental conditions. Offers corrosion resistance for many indoor and protected outdoor uses.
