Material Grades and Applications
SS 304 Stainless Steel Screws
SS 304 stainless steel screws provide general corrosion resistance suitable for indoor applications, moderate outdoor exposure and most industrial environments. Contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Widely available and cost-effective for general-purpose fastening.
SS 316 Stainless Steel Screws
SS 316 stainless steel screws include molybdenum for enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments. Preferred for coastal installations, marine applications, water treatment plants and chemical-exposure conditions.
SS 202 Stainless Steel Screws
SS 202 stainless steel screws offer corrosion resistance at a lower cost through a lower-nickel, higher-manganese austenitic alloy. Suitable for cost-sensitive applications with less aggressive environmental conditions.
